The deal, in plain terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Popcorn movie and TV watchlist application (“Popcorn”, “the Application”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.

1. The service

Popcorn lets you search for movies and TV shows, build and organize watchlists, track series episode by episode, and see where titles are available to stream. The Application is provided free of charge, with no advertisements and no tracking.

2. Your account

• Some features require an account, created with a name or username and an email address.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity on your account.
• You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into these Terms in your country of residence.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Application, you agree not to:

• Break the law, or infringe the rights of others;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Application or its infrastructure;
• Use the Application to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content;
• Resell, or commercially exploit the Application without our written permission.

4. Your content

Your watchlists and the choices you make in the Application remain yours. You are responsible for the content you add. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display that content back to you so the Application can function.

5. Movie and TV data (TMDB)

Movie and TV show information is provided through The Movie Database (TMDB). Popcorn uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. That data is subject to TMDB's own terms, and we cannot guarantee its accuracy, availability, or completeness — including streaming availability, which changes frequently and varies by country.

6. Intellectual property

The Application, its name, and its design are the property of Bee Interactive and its licensors, and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of the Application. Movie and TV artwork and metadata belong to their respective rights holders.

7. Availability and changes

• We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update or discontinue the Application at any time.
• The Application relies on third-party services and your device; we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Application is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You use the Application at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bee Interactive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Application. Because Popcorn is provided free of charge, nothing in these Terms creates a paid obligation on our part.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Application and delete your account at any time, directly from within the Application (see our Privacy Notice for how deletion works). We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Application unlawfully.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continuing to use the Application after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, the courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
